Finally it’s rained! It’s been more than a month since we had any rainfall where we live but at last the heavens have opened and given my poor allotment a drink. It was desperate – and so nice to see rain drops rolling off petals into the ground. The smell was amazing too – all that wet hot soil mixed with the smell of roses and grass which is why one of my old English roses (Lady Emma Hamilton if you’re interested) makes #MySundayPhoto this week. It also made me realise that for the first time since becoming a mum seven years ago I couldn’t remember the last time I used the rain cover on the pushchair – until this week that is! Has it finally rained where you are too? Were you glad or do you wish the dry spell had lasted a bit longer?
