Looking for an alternative to chocolate eggs this Easter? Or perhaps you’re after just one more treat for little people ahead of the big day?

Either way, Smiggle could be the answer!

Easter ready

If you’re a regular follower of the blog you’ll know we’re big fans of Smiggle, who as well as boasting every type of stationery you can think of always have alternative gift ideas when it comes to seasonal events like Christmas and Easter (if you’ve had one of their advent calendars you’ll know what I mean).

So, when the team at Smiggle got in touch and asked if we’d like to review their latest limited-edition surprise Easter eggs, of course I said yes!

Getting Easter ready with Smiggle

This year there are two eggs (£18 each) in Smiggle’s Easter range, each containing six surprises. Each egg (there’s a ‘magical’ one and a ‘roarsome’ one) include a limited edition squishy, a snap band, a wallet, a key ring, a pot of goo and a sticky toy.

The eggs come wrapped in a cellophane wrapping, and once open they each crack into two halves. Of course, half the fun is in the unwrapping, which my older two loved (check out the looks of concentration!)

And (needless to say since it wasn’t even Easter Sunday yet) they also loved discovering all of the gifts bundled together inside too.

What did I think?

My initial thought was that £18 is rather a lot for an Easter egg, but when you look at what each one contains I actually think it’s quite good value. My two each got a wallet, a key ring, a squishy, a snap band, goo and a sticky toy – all of which will last way longer than a chocolate egg.

Smiggle also has a range of other Easter gift ideas, including this sequinned Easter headband (was £12, now £4) and bunny goo (was £7, now £3). The bunny goo also contains a hidden surprise – a bunny rabbit in the middle of it – which obviously the kids loved!

Are you on the hunt for some final Easter gifts or are you all sorted? Do any of these take your fancy?

We were very kindly gifted all of the items featured in this post. As always all opinions are my own, and based on my own honest experience.
