It’s that time of the year again.

Christmas is on the horizon, it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to get who, and before you know it the Christmas to-do list starts to look – and feel – a bit overwhelming.

As a family of six it’s fair to say there are lots of people to buy for in our house, and as part of a big wider family too the Christmas gift list can get rather lengthy – and complicated.

If I can double up on presents and get various people the same thing I will (the phrase killing two birds with one stone springs to mind!) and if those presents can be personalised to make them extra special then even better.

This year we’ve teamed up with Bonusprint who specialise in bringing family photos and memories to life to help spread the word about their photo range, which includes photo books, calendars, and cards – all of which make great presents too.

So, if you’re on the hunt for the perfect Christmas gift or stocking filler here are 5 great reasons to gift a photo book this Christmas!

5 great reasons to gift a photo book this Christmas

1. Photo books bring special family moments to life

From family holidays and birthdays to milestone school or career moments, photo books can showcase a special day or family event and immortalise it in print forever. Bonusprint has various sizes, styles, and formats to choose from to help make your photo book look as professional as possible, and they even have ‘Smart Assistant’ technology which selects your best photos for you and optimally places them in your photo book.

2. They’re a great way to actually do something with all the photos stored on your phone

More than 1,000. That’s how many photos I currently have stored on my phone, none of which I have ever printed out. Compiling a photo book is the perfect opportunity to actually do something with all your photos and memories and share them with family and friends – which is presumably why you took the photos in the first place!

3. A photo book can help people who missed out on an event feel like they were there

Which is especially important after so many of us missed out on events or couldn’t share our special days with people owing to lockdown and the pandemic. We were forced to have a very small christening for Violet earlier this year, but I’m looking forward to putting all the photos together and sharing them with family and friends who couldn’t make it.

4. You can gift the same book to lots of different people

Instead of investing time and energy into thinking about and buying different gifts for grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins you can make one photo book and gift copies of the same book to lots of different people. Bonusprint also has some pre-designed photo books with the layout done for you – and anything that saves a bit of time and energy in the run up to Christmas gets the thumbs up from me!

5. A photo book is for life, not just for Christmas

Unlike a box of chocolates or bubble bath a photo book is the gift that keeps on giving well beyond Christmas and the new year. In fact, you could say a photo book is for life! Bonusprint’s smallest photo book starts from as little as Β£6.99 which is about the same as a box of chocolates – but much better value when you consider how much longer it will last!
