Zippy suit review featuredOne of the things they don’t tell you about parenthood – and there are lots of things they fail to tell you – is all the poppers you have to deal with.

If I had a pound for every popper I’ve done up or undone in the last five years I’d be writing this post from a beach in Barbados. Sadly I’m not.

Popper technique is such a complicated business – there’s a knack to it depending on whether they’re lying down, wreathing around, standing up, facing you or trying to run away – that it ought to be included in the NCT’s ante natal classes. At the very least being qualified in the art of successful popperage deserves a certificate.

As a result I’m a big fan of zips. You really can’t beat the zip. So of course I said yes when Zippy Suit asked if we’d like to try one of their new range of zipped all-in-ones. They’ve got Cloudbabies and In The Night Garden ones (all from Β£13)Β in a range of designs and sent us this gorgeous Baba Blue Cloudbabies suit to try out.

With a zip running the entire length of the suit getting it on and off is so much easier than a poppered version, and there’s a little lip of fabric at the top to stop the zip grazing your baby’s skin. As you can see there’s plenty of room for Little B to rollΒ around, andΒ it’s made of soft 100% cotton so feels really cuddly.

The all-in-one comes in sizesΒ from newborn to 18 months, and from six months oldΒ the feet also come with anti-slip spots on the soles. An elasticated ankle keeps the foot in the foot area.

I know I’m biased but I do think Little B looks especially cute in his Baba Blue version, and because I know he won’t be in all-in-ones for that much longer as he’ll be too big I’m making the most of every minute.
