Crummy Mummy 2I am a wife, mother and freelance journalist, not necessarily in that order. I live in Hove, East Sussex, with my husband Misery Guts (you’ll see), our daughter BB, who was born in August 2011, our son Little B, born in October 2014, and our two black house cats, Eddie and Daisy.

When I am not being a mummy, failing in my endless quest to get to the bottom of the dirty laundry basket or (trying) to write to deadline, I like running. Oh, and making cakes.

I set up this blog in January 2013 as I prepared to embark on a life changing journey: giving up breastfeeding. In May 2013 that journey ended and the rest of our lives began. Quite how they will pan out remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: there is always a bottle of white wine in the fridge.

In my previous life I was a news editor for a series of Trinity Mirror owned tabloid newspapers in Surrey. Now I am a mummy I am a freelance journalist. I specialise in real life features for women’s glossy magazines and national newspapers and love interviewing real women about their lives. I am also a regular contributor to The Grocer magazine, writing features about all aspects of the food and drink retail industry. You can find out more about my work life here

I hope you enjoy my blog. If you’d like to get in touch I’d love to hear from you, so please do leave a comment…
